NSS

The motto of the National Service Scheme (N.S.S.) is “Not Me, But You”, This expresses the essence of democratic living, and upholds the need for selfless services and appreciation of another man’s point of view and also shows sensitivity towards the concerns of fellow human beings. It underlines that the welfare of an individual ultimately depends on the welfare of the society as a whole. Therefore, it is the primary aim of the N.S.S. to demonstrate and act upon this motto in its day-to-day activities in its true spirit. This Programme has ushered in channelising the energy of the youth in positive directions.

The main aim of “National Service Scheme” is personality development through social service and community service. This programme intends to inculcate the spirit of social welfare in the presonality of students, It is aimed to provide service to the society without any prejudices. NSS volunteers work hard day and night to ensure that every one in our society who is needy is provided every possible help to meet his needs so that they may also be able to lead a life of comfort and dignity in the society. In doing so the volunteers themselves learn a lot from the people in villages how to struggle and cope with in the adverse conditions of life marked by extreme scarcity of resources.

At present NSS programme is being run in the college under the guidance and supervision of Mrs. Sunita Rani. One-Day and Seven-Day special Camps are organized every year. Outstanding volunteers are given prizes and certificates.

Anti-Ragging Measures

Ragging is a very inhuman and barbaric practice which is widely rampant in educational institutions and playing havoc with the lives of the youngsters.

It is very heartening and gratifying that no incident of ragging of the juniors by the seniors has ever occurred in the long history of 40 years of the college. An Anti-ragging squad comprising the senior members of all the faculties led by its convener was constituted to cope up with this evil. The members always keep a close watch on the activities of all the students. Simultaneously, an Anti-ragging committee has also been constituted consisting of Senior Faculty members, S.H.O. Police station, Ladwa, Naib- Tehsildar, Ladwa, Office bearers of local social clubs and organizations, senior students and Non-teaching staff to make a consistent, joint effort to ensure that ragging menace does not raise its ugly head in our college.

College authorities are very vigilant and circumspect in this regard and all possible steps have been taken to nip this evil in the bud. On the other hand administration has taken steps to promote healthy, happy and harmonious relations among the juniors and seniors. At present Dr. Yash Pal Singh is working as the convener of Anti-Ragging Committee.
